RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL
This document explains your legal right of withdrawal as a consumer and the consequences of doing so when the purchase made by you is for digital content (e.g. software). Within the meaning of Section 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB) a consumer means any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that predominantly are outside his or her trade, business, or profession.
Your right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen (14) days without stating reasons.
The withdrawal period is fourteen (14) days from the date the contract was concluded.

Alternatively, you can withdraw from the contract by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax, telephone call, or email). You can use the accompanying model withdrawal form for this purpose, although this is not compulsory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Consequences of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, Avira will refund you all payments Avira has received from you, including delivery charges (except for any additional costs arising from choosing a different type of delivery than the most favorable standard delivery option we offer), immediately and at the latest within fourteen (14) days from the date on which the notification of your withdrawal from this contract was received by Avira. Avira will use the same payment method that you used for the original transaction, unless another method has been expressly agreed with you. In no event will you be reimbursed for any charges incurred through this repayment.
Loss of the right of withdrawal
The right to withdraw from a contract
- regarding the delivery of digital content not on a physical data carrier or
- for which the consumer received the activation code by email from Avira
is lost if
- Avira has commenced with performing the contract or
- the consumer has expressly agreed to Avira commencing the performance of the contract prior to the expiry of the withdrawal deadline and
- the consumer has acknowledged his or her understanding that he or she will lose his or her right of withdrawal by agreeing to the commencement of the performance of the contract.
