How do I reinstall my activated Avira product?

If you need to reinstall your activated Avira product due to a new installation of the operating system or computer change, please follow the instructions below.


  1. Log in to Avira Connect Web.
    • If you have forgotten your password, use the Forgot password? Function below the Log In button. You will receive a link by email to reset your password.


  2. Click the Subscriptions button in the left-hand menu bar.
  3. Select in the “Subscriptions pane” the product to install and click Install.

    If your license is not displayed in the Subscriptions menu, please follow the installation process at the end of the article.


  4. Double-click the downloaded installation file and follow the instructions.

    Once the product is installed, it will be connected to the Avira Connect Dashboard and automatically logged into the account.

If your new installation is an Avira bundle (i.e. Avira Prime, Avira Optimization Suite, etc.), all associated products are automatically installed according to the stored license.

My license is not displayed in the menu Subscriptions

Under certain circumstances, it may happen that your license is not displayed in the menu Subscriptions. This may cause that the product to be installed cannot be assigned to your existing license.

To avoid this problem, perform the reinstallation as follows:

  1. Click Devices in the left menu panel.
  2. Select the operating system in the Protect more devices menu.
  3. Find the product to install and click Select.
  4. Click Download.
  5. Run the downloaded installation file.
    Your existing license will now be automatically recognized.
