New DriveLock Management Console allows management of Avira products in larger business environments
Tettnang, July 8, 2016 – Avira, developer of the multi award-winning Antivirus software solution, announces the availability of the new DriveLock Management Console from CenterTools Software SE for its business products. The DriveLock Management Console allows Avira products to be easily installed, rolled out, and centrally managed in larger business environments. In doing so, Avira is meeting business customers' demands for a management solution that can be hosted locally and offers flexible endpoint scaling.
Business customers can now manage their Avira products using the DriveLock Management Console from German company CenterTools Software SE. DriveLock is a proven and reliable on-premises software solution that is already running on over three million devices, and allows businesses to host, manage, and monitor security solutions, including malware detection, on their own infrastructure. With granular rights management, it is easily customized to suit specific business needs, offering flexible scaling of the number of endpoints.
This now gives business customers a choice between the existing web-based management platform Avira Online Essentials (recommended for micro and small businesses with fewer than 25 clients) and the new, locally hosted DriveLock Management Console (recommended for businesses with over 25 clients).

The DriveLock Management Console manages the Avira business products Avira Antivirus Pro – Business Edition and Avira Antivirus Server as well as the bundles Avira Antivirus for Endpoint and Avira Antivirus for Small Business.
The DriveLock Management Console will be available to Avira customers from July 5, 2016 via the global partner network, and is free to use for Avira customers placing new orders or renewing existing licenses.
