Clever alliance: SAP consultancy itelligence and Avira form a partnership

Security for SAP NetWeaver with Avira AntiVir

Tettnang, Bielefeld, 01 June 2006 – itelligence is taking the Avira AntiVir solution for the SAP NetWeaver platform into its portfolio. With this step, the internationally active full-service IT provider for SAP complements its offerings with the virus protection solution Avira AntiVir Virus Scan Adapter (for SAP Solutions).

Avira's security solution is the first virus scanner to be certified by SAP that utilizes this SAP VSI interface. The software monitors the complete document exchange from SAP applications and supports ABAP and JAVA-based systems as well as connected applications. With this partnership, itelligence offers SAP customers a complete package that includes the virus protection product, knowledgeable consulting and implementation for the special applications of the Walldorf-based software designers.

“Avira is the right choice of an SAP Certified Software Partner for us”, said a pleased Markus Kellermeyer, head of Technology Consulting at itelligence. “Through use of the Avira AntiVir Virus Scan Adapter online job applications, for example, that are directly downloaded over the HR module into the SAP system can be immediately checked for viruses. In this way, a possible further infection through the downloading or opening of virus-infected data is effectively avoided.”
