Senior Campaign Manager (m/f)

Responsibilities

User Engagement Strategy:

  • Work across verticals, seller, and marketing leaders to unify a common set of strategic imperatives for various target customers / user segments
  • Set a high bar for what is possible – both in terms of RFM metrics by channel (including in-app/-product), user cells, and in terms of operational efficiency
  • Define associated investment requirements to support user engagement strategy across the organization, and ensure link with key product initiatives
  • Mine an ever-fragmenting data set to fully capture the new insights and opportunities, including new data sources that exist beyond company’s datacenters and walls
  • Define customer contact and channel strategy for freemium funnels

Data-Science & Insights:

  • Analyze purchasing behavior, identify new customer needs / trends and measures on-going efficiency / effectiveness of all marketing channels
  • Define reporting measurements – for core business and key customer initiatives. Review scorecards associated with each program and strategic initiative and monitor operational KPIs
  • Develop holistic user/customer learning agenda (linked to cross-organizational priorities)

Campaign Generation & Testing:

  • Define campaign strategy and allocate marketing impressions to deliver on user-level targets
  • Design seamless multichannel experiences across several of the company’s key user-stories and use-cases

Execution & Channel Interactions:

  • Provide input into creative brief based on analytic insights for target segments
  • Test tactics to optimize traffic utilization, conversion/monetization, product usage, Economic Profit, and ROI
  • Re-allocate impressions and investments based on results from tests
  • Develop recommendation to top management across functions to strengthen relationships with existing Avira users and customers through better and increasingly run-time targeting, (re-)activate lapsed /past-due users and customers and acquire new ones
  • Interface with all Marketing-relevant business areas, such as Product, Platforms and Finance

Capability Building

  • Educate the company on how to evaluate the online engagement business model, including user and product perspectives
  • Build company understanding of key engagement and monetization levers that we can pull
  • Work with in-house Product organization to build out algorithmic marketing systems and automation, such as online merchandizing, contact management system, and experimentation targeting platform
  • Work with additional in-house partners to build out internal processes and system to drive optimization of resource allocation

Your profile

  • 5-7 years experience in data-driven marketing strategy and execution with 3+ years relevant experience in user management and/or online merchandizing.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, proven ability to drive and deliver results
  • Strong analytic capabilities: statistical knowledge in the context of user profiling on distributed systems. Experience with data-science technologies and BI applications is advantageous; Hadoop, Mahout, Couch or other nosql standards especially
  • Strong conceptual and abstract thinking faculties as well as the ability to present complex relationships in an easily comprehensible way
  • Ability to develop systems and processes that provide structure and discipline
  • Highly collaborative approach to facilitate cross functional relationship building

Academic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical discipline such as Applied Math, Computer Science or Engineering preferred. Or equivalent qualifications and experience
