Threats by rogue apps increased 13% since January

There are more and more smartphone users with every year – 2017 almost 66% of the world population already owned such a device. No wonder cybercriminals want a slice of the cake as well.

To achieve this goal their methods are getting more and more sophisticated: Rogue mobile applications – fake apps that access data on the user’s phone for fraudulent purposes – is the latest trend. In Q2 2018 28% of all fraud attacks came from this kind of threat.
