InfoMatrix 2016: the golden projects
Are you curious about the gold medal winners? Here are the details for each category:
Programming – Romania: newmoisil.ro is a Romanian platform that aims to facilitate communication between teachers and students (such as a portal), helping students to know each other better and to work more as a team on various projects.
Hardware Control – Bosnia and Herzegovina: An air boat, also known as a fan boat, propelled in a forward direction by an aircraft-type propeller and powered by either an aircraft or automotive engine has convinced the jury members that it deserves the first prize. Gabriel Lapusneanu, Web Software Engineer @Avira shared his expertise on choosing the best project.
Computer Art – Romania: The most notable project at this category was meant to raise awareness about mental illness on a global scale. “I was impressed seeing so many interesting projects based on a noble purpose”, said Catalin Cristea, Art Director @Avira.
Short Movie – Macedonia: For this edition the theme was “justice”. A short comedy film that depicts some funny ways in which a family tries to recover their son’s stolen toys. Vlad Tudor, Senior UI/UX designer @Avira, was among the jury members and was excited to have been present to such an interesting competition in terms of visual and audio effects.
Two of our colleagues, Ana Tone – Team Leader Virus Lab and Mihai Grigorescu, Specialist Virus Analyst held a workshop about Android mobile security and challenged the participants to find any potential vulnerabilities hidden in their phones.
We are thrilled to have been part of this successful event and we are looking forward to the 15th edition on InfoMatrix, which will definitely surprise us even more.
