Avira Unveils Extended Features with Avira Crypto, Game Booster and Breach Monitor

Avira, part of NortonLifeLock, has launched three new features as part of its growing product portfolio: Avira Crypto, Game Booster and Breach Monitor.

At Avira, we understand that every individual has different Cyber Safety needs, and we work to continuously develop features to help protect our customers across key digital touchpoints in their daily lives. Whether you’re working, learning, shopping or just spending time online, today there are cyberthreats targeted at every point of the digital day. With every new feature we launch at Avira, we aim to provide an extra layer of safety so our customers can feel more secure online – and with the launch of Avira Crypto, Game Booster and Breach Monitor, we are excited to add extra protection and support for three very different digital needs.

Avira Crypto

Avira Crypto is designed to enable consumers to mine cryptocurrency more safely and easily, directly through the Avira platform. With Avira Crypto, coinminers can now turn idle time on their PCs into an opportunity to earn digital currency. It is designed to be simple to use, secure and reliable, enabling customers to mine for cryptocurrency with just a few clicks and avoid the general barriers that might otherwise prevent their entry into the cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Avira Crypto is a free feature of Avira Security platforms and is currently available to Avira Free Security, Avira Antivirus Pro, Avira Internet Security and Avira Prime users1 in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.  We will be adding additional countries in the future.

Game Booster

Avira Game Booster maximizes computer performance while helping keep your PC secure, allowing both avid and casual gamers to play without the worry of an antivirus program slowing them down. To do this, Avira Game Booster automatically detects games and feeds them the maximum power2.

The feature is built from patented technology for multi-core CPU PCs that provides an immersive game experience by reducing performance interruptions while still maintaining your computer’s security. By isolating non-essential apps to a single CPU core, it allows the rest of the CPUs to be allocated to your game for better performance.

Avira Game Booster is now available to Avira Prime users, globally.

Breach Monitor

According to the Norton Cyber Safety Insights Report, 78 percent of consumers have concerns about data privacy. Avira security products provide protection against phishing and other scams that can result in data getting into the wrong hands. With Avira Breach Monitor, our users can have added peace of mind that – if their email is compromised – we will notify them so they can take action to protect their digital assets immediately.

Avira Breach Monitor actively monitors for data breaches and – should your email be compromised or leaked – informs you. This gives Avira customers the opportunity to take the steps necessary to lock down affected accounts before someone else accesses their accounts or sensitive data3.

Avira Breach Monitor is now available to Avira Prime users, globally.
