That’s why on Friday, November 27th at 9pm, Marcus König and Thomas Bottesch, two of our security experts, let 300 interested visitors at the “Long Night of Informatics” in on the “Evolution of Modern Anti-Malware Systems”.
The talk was a raging success – one indicator for that was how difficult it was to get our two experts off the stage at the University Ravensburg-Weingarten. The audience was very curious and drilled them with a lot of questions concerning Protection Cloud and Machine Learning Systems amongst others.
But that’s not all: The event was not the end of our mission at our partner universities. On December 2nd, Marcus König and Alexander Vukcevic travelled to the HTWG Konstanz (Hochschule Konstanz University of Applied Sciences) to discuss “Mobile malware and differences in security architecture and the threat on current mobile operating systems” with around 80 students, professors, and alumni.
This topic attracted wide interest and in addition to detailed questions concerning app certification for Android, the students were also seeking advice from the IT-Security aspects with questions like “Which smartphone do you use and why?” and “When I delete an app, is all potential malware automatically deleted as well?”.
All of the above questions (and many more) were answered of course and our security experts were more than happy to raise awareness and talk about the importance of what they do and how everyone can benefit from it.
