Avira Antivirus: Game Mode explained

The good news

Imagine that you are playing your favorite game and you’re absorbed in the heat of action. Suddenly, a pop-up appears on the screen and invites you to do an antivirus update or, even worse, tells you that your PC may be infected. Suddenly, the gaming experience is ruined!

This is why gamers quit using an antivirus suite, to ensure that they won’t be disturbed by an antivirus alert or update request. For many online players, the security of their PC comes second, after an awesome gaming experience, despite the high risks of encountering some malware.

Luckily, there is a solution that allows you to have the pleasure of a full gaming experience, but without leaving the gate open for potential dangers. The Avira Internet Security Suite does a lot of cool stuff to secure your online experience –  gaming part included.

“Game mode” is a feature that suspends unnecessary notifications during games, and you will love it.

What Game Mode does

When preparing to play, just enable the Game Mode feature and the fun can start!

This is what will happen:

Of course, it is very important that to disable the Game Mode after you finish the game and to switch on again the full capacities of the Internet Security Suite.

Now you know that you can have both – a super-gaming experience and  full security coverage. You just need to give it a try.

Please note that the Game Mode is only available in our Avira Antivirus Pro. Even so, PC Gamer gave Avira Free Antivirus the award as the best free AV solution for gamers.
