Introduction
When you visit our Careers web page, you have the option of applying for a specific, advertised position at our company.
As part of the application process, we process your personal data, such as your CV, credentials and work samples. We may also invite you for an interview, either in person or using video systems.

Feedback
To optimize our application processes, we give you the option to provide feedback at different points in the application process. The following data is automatically recorded here:
- Title of the job position for which you have applied
- Location of the position
- Job category
In addition to a star rating for individual questions, you have the option to leave comments here. We expressly ask you not to leave any personal data in the comment!
The information collected here is anonymized and can be displayed together with your feedback on the softgarden certificate page or transmitted to external partners such as
"kununu" (see our Privacy Policy for the web page https://www.avira.com/en/privacy-policy/website-shop-account).
Recommendation management
There is the option to recommended potential applicants on our Careers page. If you happen to apply with us because of one of these recommendations, the person who recommended you is notified of your application. In this notification, your profile photo, name, and the job for which you have applied are displayed. If you do not want this information to be shared, you can choose to have your data displayed without a direct personal reference before completing the application. The person who recommended you is then notified only that someone has applied based on their recommendation, but does not see who that person is.
Online surveys
At the end of the application process, there is the option to allow us to send you a survey link. The link leads to an external, anonymous survey. This is conducted and evaluated by softgarden. The goal of this survey is to continue improving and developing softgarden products and services, enhance the application experience and conduct studies on recruiting trends.
Your participation in the survey is voluntary. You have the option of canceling the questionnaire at any time by closing the browser window. Answers provided up to that point are made available to softgarden.

Talent pool
After applying unsuccessfully or by using the "Get in contact" button, there is the possibility of being added to our talent pool. If a similar or otherwise appropriate position is open, we can then contact you regarding it. You are accepted into the talent pool on a voluntary basis by consenting using the opt-in link.
If you register for the talent pool using the "Get in contact" button, we require the following data from you:
- Form of address, academic title (optional)
- First and last name, email address
- Job fields of interest
- Current career level
- Preferred location(s)
- XING profile or CV
Scheduling
For planning and setting up appointments, we use an integrated service from Cronofy Limited, which acts as a processor. As part of the applicant selection process, we can schedule appointments for interviews or other meetings using an interface in the softgarden applicant management system and invite the desired participants directly by email using the softgarden system.

Programming assessments
We use a service from Codility Ltd. for performing programming assessments and video interviews with an interactive whiteboard.
We can invite you directly to an assessment appointment using an interface in the softgarden applicant management system and display the assessment result attained in the software.
If we invite you to an assessment using this feature, you will receive a link for the assessment. You can use this link to start the assessment.

Withdrawal and objection
If processing is based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (freely given consent), you can revoke this consent at any time for the future.
If processing is based on legitimate interest as stated in Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing insofar as there are reasons for this arising from your particular situation or if it constitutes direct advertising.

Provision of data
We need the data collected in the application process in order to select the applicant we feel is most suitable and to then enter into an employment relationship (Art 6(1)(b) GDPR and § 26 BDSG). If you cannot or do not wish to provide the requested data, this can negatively influence the selection process, from your perspective.
Processing of minors' data
Use of our applicant tool is only possible upon completion of one's 16th year.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy is revised on an ad-hoc basis to adapt it to current developments in relation to our company, our products and services, legal requirements and social developments.
