If you do not like to receive any incoming call or SMS from a specific telephone number, you can block this number. You can distinguish between

• Calls & SMS
• Calls
• SMS

You can block an existing contact, a phone number from incoming call list, a phone number from incoming SMS list or any other specific telephone number.

Block a contact or phone number from a list

1. Start the Avira Free Android Security App
2. Go to Blacklist
3. Click on Add and choose from the menu “Add from contacts”, “Add from call log” or “Add from SMS log”
   
   
    
4. Choose the contact or telephone number you want to block
   
   
    
5. Check the details (Name, Phone Number, Blocking options) and click on Save
   
   
    

Block a phone number manually (without a list)

1. Start the Avira Free Android Security App
2. Go to Blacklist
3. Click on Add and choose from the menu “Create contact manually”
   
   
    
4. Enter the details (Name, Phone Number, Blocking options) and click on Save
   
   
    

In case a blocked contact is trying to call you or to send a SMS, you will get a notification via the notification bar.
