Prized again: Avira receives the „VB 100% Award

Antivirus solution reached one more time a 100 per cent detection rate

Tettnang, 06 April 2006 – The most popular antivirus software AntiVir gave proof of its high quality standard. It is the ninth time that the antivirus solution receives the VB 100% Award. In the comparative test made on the Red Hat Linux 9 operating system, the virus scan managed to convince the jury through its excellent malware detection rate as well as the ease of use. This award entitles the German security specialist to keep on using the VB 100 % logo on its product packages as a quality seal.

“Virus Bulletin” is a world wide acknowledged security magazine that brings together the producer and the user. On the one hand, the security provider can take advantage of the test because in this manner he can confirm the quality of his products. On the other hand, the user can use this award as orientation when buying a product. The reason: the test for security software as well as the criteria for awarding the VB 100% certificate is one of the most exigent in the security area. In contrast to other similar methods, “Virus Bulletin” uses for its tests the current WildList. This means that the products that are awarded the VB 100 % have to be up-to-date.
