Systems: Avira presents gateway protection

Avira presents Business Products from 21 till 24 October in hall B3, booth 507
Tettnang, 7 October 2008 – The German IT security specialist Avira will be presenting security solutions for companies and public authorities at Systems in Munich, hall B3, booth 507. The solutions for web and mail gateways, which provide an all-round protection against digital threats, will take center stage. Avira will be demonstrating virus protection certified by SAP on its partner’s booth 529 in hall B3 that directly protects SAP NetWeaver applications against threats and undesired forwarding of digital parasites.
Avira provides high performing server protection for networks against harmful programs brought in by employees by surfing the Net, through incoming and outgoing emails and infected files on USB sticks, PDAs/smartphones, MP3 players and digital cameras. The current product generation is based on the modular AntiVir Engine 2 that is up to 20 percent faster in performance when compared to the prior version.
When scanning archives, office documents and executable files, the developers managed to speed up the protection and caching mechanisms – in some cases the scanning time was reduced by up to half. Avira AntiVir MailGate and WebGate don’t really have any impact on the server’s performance. AntiVir ISA Server provides first-class protection against threats which backed up by independent anti-virus software tests, without wasting system resources.
On booth 507 in hall B3 the Professional Products of Avira will be demonstrated. The enhanced administration tool, Security Management Center, and the client solutions will all be available. Evaluation CDs with a 30 day license will be on offer to all attendees, so everyone can test the products in their own environment.
