DistributionThe worm collects email addresses searching the files with the following extensions from the local drives: adb asp cfg cgi dbx dhtm eml htm jsp mbx mdx mht mmf msg nch ods oft php pl sht shtm stm tbb txt uin wab wsh xls xml
It uses its own SMTP engine to send itself to the collected email addresses. The email sent by the worm looks like below:

The worm opens a backdoor on TCP port 2556. If an attacker sends an especially formatted message through this port, the worm allows the download of a file in %WinDIR% directory. Then, this file is saved as %WinDIR%\iuplda%x%.exe

The worm tries to spread over shared networks, like Kazaa and iMesh, where it copies itself in directories containing the string "shar". The worm uses the following file names:
