Although you are asked during installation to specify a quarantine directory, it is not active by default!
You have to activate it in the configuration file of AVGuard /etc/avira/avguard.conf.
Note: It is best to create the quarantine directory in the same partition with the monitored directory, because, in case of a detection followed by (optionally) sending to quarantine, the file can be really moved. This process is done without copying the file from one drive to another, so it is much faster. |
