Avira Knowledge Base - Problem Details

If you use the new IMAP feature of Avira MailGuard 9 in Mozilla Thunderbird, and you receive a detection message, you can go to:
Configuration - Expert mode - Mail Guard - Scan - Action on Malware
and use one of the options for Affected attachments: move to quarantine or delete.

When activating one of these ooptions, Mozilla Thunderbird writes additional information in the alert text file. This will be generated in case of a detection and replace the deleted attachment in the email.

This happens only in the Mozilla Thunderbird email client. We have no influence on this behavior of Thunderbird. Consequently, we regard this special message with HTML code as correct and expected.
