Avira Knowledge Base - Problem Details

If you choose Automatic action for the Scanner (Interactive is the default option) in AntiVir version 8, you can activate the option Copy to quarantine before action. Then, if you choose Repair as primary action, you will notice that the secondary action is ignored.

1. Download the zip archive avscan.exe version 8.1.4.9
2. Unpack it in a local directory (e.g. My Documents)
3. Open the AntiVir installation directory (e.g. C:\Program Files\Avira\Avira Premium Security Suite\)
4. Here rename the file avscan.exe into avscan.backup.exe
5. Copy the new file avscan.exe in the Avira product's directory.

Then the secondary action will be performed as you set it in Configuration.
This problem was fixed in AntiVir version 9.
