Your AntiVir is up to date, if you have the current virus definition file. This file is usually updated several times each day. This is how you can check, if you have the current VDF:
- Start the update. If you see the message "Your program is up to date", it means you already have the latest version of the virus definition file.
- OR:
- Go to our website www.avira.com and under VDF Update you will see the current IVDF version, its date and time of release.
- On AntiVir's main screen, check the Overview- Status section, click on the plus sign next to Last Update and compare the versions with the ones on the website. If they are the same, your AntiVir is up to date. Otherwise, you must update AntiVir.
