The new Avira Updater is integrated in all version 3 products. It basically runs in the same way for all products:

When updating via SMC:
Until now, a special product had to be added in SMC, in order to manage the updates' configuration. Starting with version 3, the Avira AntiVir UNIX Updater (for SMC) is no longer necessary!
The update configuration is done directly through one of the products.
The syntax for updates has been extended:
Rightclick a product, select Commands - Update X,
where X can be one of the following:
