Unfortunately, it is not possible to save quarantined files from AV8 in AV9, out of security reasons.
Consequently, when you upgrade from AntiVir Version 8 to Version 9, quarantined files are deleted. They are no longer available in the new version.
Of course you can back up those files first. But we recommend deleting any virulent files, detected and confirmed by a virus scanner.
During migration, the Quarantine (see screenshot below) container is deleted:
If you need those files, you can find them in Windows Explorer in the quarantine directory of AV8 (Windows 2000/ XP) C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Avira\AntiVir Desktop\INFECTED:
