Avira FAQ Details

Scanning of IMAP accounts has been implemented in Avira AntiVir Premium and Avira Premium Security Suite, starting with the update from 28.04.2009. The option is by default inactive.

If you use IMAP, activate the virus protection as described below:

1. Start AntiVir
2. Click on Extras - Configuration and activate teh Expert mode
3. Select MailGuard and activate the option Monitor IMAP accounts
4. Modify the port, if necessary
5. Press OK to close
