5. Time-saving: automate routine jobs with the scheduler
Up-to-dateness is an indispensable prerequisite for the security of your system. In order to guarantee up-to-dateness and security of your system, particular routine jobs are essential. You regularly have to update your virus and malware protection, this means to make updates and you regularly have to examine your system for virus and malware infections.
You can also make this manually by initiating an update or by starting a search run. But this requires your active collaboration and we are quite sure that you have better things to do than running a program for virus and malware protection. A virus and malware protection should cater for security in the background without noticing it.
The scheduler of the AntiVir Windows Workstation, version 7, enables you to automate routine jobs that are required, but that don’t necessarily require your active participation.
You can compile as many examination update tasks as you want through the TAB “scheduler” which the program starts automatically according to the established period of time or time interval.
The Workstation, version 7, is already supplied with two concluded, pre-defined tasks you can naturally change however you like or you can add new jobs.
An assistant is very helpful for you when compiling a new job as it leads you through the creation of the job step by step so that errors or erroneous indications become wrong or almost impossible:
As such automated tasks should not necessarily be run in the foreground, you have the possibility to vary the setting mode of the task in order that the tasks can be performed invisibly; this means the dialog does not have to be open for this.
You can simply deactivate tasks at any time at the push of a button and activate them again when required.
