Since Avira has taken over the technologies and products from datapol GmbH, the business has been providing support for basically all datapol products that were acquired after the day of the takeover (15.04.2006). The Avira support services naturally also apply for all products that are available again under the company name of Avira since the takeover.
Please understand that Avira is not legally bound to render support services for products that were purchased before the takeover (15.04.06). Avira provides updates to the latest versions at special conditions for all customers who have purchased datapol products before the day of the takeover.
