 Files It copies itself to the following locations:
   • %HOME%\Application Data\WindowsLive.exe
   • %drive%\exploredrive.exe



It deletes the following file:
   • %home%\Application Data\newe



The following files are created:

– %TEMPDIR%\Live
– %drive%\autorun.inf This is a non malicious text file with the following content:
   • %code that runs malware%

– %TEMPDIR%\profilew.exe Further investigation pointed out that this file is malware, too. Detected as: Worm/Autorun.axpv

 Registry To each registry key one of the values is added in order to run the processes after reboot:

–  [HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
   • "Windows Live"="%HOME%\Application Data\WindowsLive.exe"

–  [HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
   • "Windows Live"="%HOME%\Application Data\WindowsLive.exe"



The following registry key is added:

– [HKLM\SOFTWARE\WindowsLive]
   • "version"="201"

 IRC To deliver system information and to provide remote control it connects to the following IRC Server:

Server: serv01.colo.owned.hu
Port: 31092
Channel: #support#
Nickname: NEW-%computer name%
