How do I download and install my Avira product?

Download the Avira installation file

In order to install the desired Avira software, you must first download the corresponding Avira installation file to your computer. Click on the required Avira product and keep in mind the location were your installation file will bee saved.

Installation of the Avira product

  1. Start with the Avira installation by double-clicking on the downloaded installation file. In case you are asked by the User Account Control for the installation permission, confirm with Yes

  2. Avira scans your device for incompatible software. For a proper function of the Avira Antivirus product please uninstall first the detected incompatible software and only thereafter continue with the Avira installation

  3. The installation wizard offers you the installation options, "Express" (Recommended) and "Custom". Accept subsequently the End User License Agreement and click Next

  4. In order to activate your purchased Antivirus product, enter the activation code and click Next

    You will find the activation code in the email you received from Avira. The mail has been sent to the email address you have specified during the purchase process. In case you do not find the email right away, please check also your spam or junk folder.

  5. After the successful installation, a reboot of your computer is required
