Should I deactivate Spybot - Search&Destroy, if I use AntiVir?

After installing Spybot - Search&Destroy, its protection components SDHelper and TeaTime are permanently active programs. This can lead to a conflict with AntiVir modules and it may affect your system's performance.

In order to avoid such errors, you have to deactivate the two components:

  1. Start Spybot
  2. Click on Mode - Activate advanced mode in the menu bar
  3. Click Tools - Resident in the left panel
  4. Remove the checkmarks for Resident SDHelper and Resident TeaTimer
  5. Close Spybot
