Can I turn off the Avira splash screen during computer start up?
In order to turn off the Avira splash screen, please follow these steps:
- Start the Windows registry editor (Start → Run → regedit)
- Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run (Windows 2000/XP) or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run (Windows Vista/7) click on avgnt
- Add the parameter /nosplash (Windows 2000/XP) or -nosplash (Windows Vista/ 7) to this entry
The splashscreen will no longer appear during start up and Avira software will start in the background.
