Should I deactivate Spybot - Search&Destroy, if I use an Avira product?
After installing Spybot - Search&Destroy, its protection components SDHelper and TeaTime are permanently active programs. This can lead to a conflict with Avira modules and it may affect your system's performance.
In order to avoid such errors, you have to deactivate the two components:
- Start Spybot
- Click on Mode → Activate advanced mode in the menu bar
- Click Tools → Resident in the left panel
- Remove the checkmarks for Resident SDHelper and Resident TeaTimer
- Close Spybot
