Integrity check in combination with prelink

Under Redhat there is a feature called prelink that should accelerate the start of programs. A more detailed description is provided by entering man prelink.

Using the cron-daemon, all directories are scanned daily for executable files and modified accordingly. This however is problematic for programs that verify their integrity at startup, such as AntiVir.

An error message might appear during the update or start of Unix Products, usually on RedHat systems (since prelink is activated here by default):
Error: The file is not signed, selfcheck failed, aborting.

Solution 1: Disable prelink (→ man prelink)

Solution 2: Blacklist
Certain directories are omitted in the blacklist.
This requires all directories with -b <directory> that should not be touched to be listed within the file /etc/prelink.conf.

Example: -b /usr/lib/AntiVir/

Finally, you should replace the binaries in /usr/lib/AntiVir again or reinstall AntiVir.
