How can I use AMES for outgoing Emails or relaying?

If you wish to forward your outgoing Emails via AMES, please send a request to your Avira partner with the desired IP address you would like to be used for this purpose. Avira will subsequently activate the service. The selected IP address will be displayed afterwards in the forwarding tab of the interface.

The daily number of outgoing Emails is limited. The amount results from the total number of licensed users x 50 messages, with a minimum of 1000 messages. The counter for forwarded messages will be reset daily at 00:00 o’clock.

Please be aware of our forwarding policy, to prevent blocking outgoing Emails:

  • The forwarding of outbound Emails is not part of the standard Email filtering service
  • You can only forward outbound Emails whose sender address is from a domain that has already been filtered by the service
  • Sending out newsletters through the platform is NOT allowed. This feature can be enabled subsequently upon request. Therefore, please contact your Avira partner
  • If outgoing messages cause abuse complaints, the outbound/relay service will be disabled
