After a product update to WebGate 3.3 it is possible that the service will not start anymore. The reason therefore may be a more sensitive test of WebGate at the multiple entries of the key files in /usr/lib/AntiVir/webgate/.

In this case, the following error message will be shown:

Next, a check of the following log file entries should be made (For this purpose is at least a LogLevel 3 in the avwebgate.conf required!):

AVWG: ERROR no valid license found, please install a valid full or evaluation license
AVWG: ERROR failed to get savapi info (-30)

Afterwards, please check the number of licenses in your installation directory:

If multiple entries are present, you can use the tool "avlinfo" to examine which keyfiles are meanwhile expired, and then remove them.
Another option is to rename the currently valid keyfiles in hbedv.key or webgate.key.

With this modification, WebGate should be able to start again.
