Worm/Rbot.180736.7 exploits the vulnerability from Windows Server Service

Tettnang, 1 September 2006 – According to the press there is a worm in circulation which exploits the vulnerability of the Windows Server (MS06-040) from the Microsoft Windows operation system. Avira already detected this worm "Worm/Rbot.180736.7” on 21.08.2006. More information about this specific malware can be found in our virus description.
Avira advises all the users to make the necessary updates from Microsoft. Moreover, it is recommended to close the TCP Port 139 (NetBIOS-Session).
