New Trojan with fake LKA emails on the way
Mon, 07 May 2007
Tettnang, 7 May 2007 - Since last weekend emails are sent again with the subject line "Online search NR-[07749117]" which contains a Trojan in the attachment!
In the email that pretends to be from the LKA Rheinland-Pfalz (State Office of Criminal Investigation of Rhineland-Palatinate) the recipient is accused of having downloaded copyrighted material from the Internet at swap meets. The content of the computer apparently was safeguarded with the "Federal Trojan" and an offence was reported. The protocol of the online search apparently is in the attachment.
Attention: The attachment of this email contains a ZIP file which is infected with a Trojan the same as the other variants sent some days ago.
This email is not from the LKA. Please delete it and don't open the attachment.
The Trojan can be detected with the identity: vdf 6.38.1.92 / ivdf 6.38.1.96 as "TR/Dldr.iBill.AP".
