UPS information concerning Trojan attachment

15 July 2008 – An alleged email in German and in English from "UPS Packet Service" is being received by many users in their mail boxes.
In the attachment there is an archive with the name "UPS_Lieferschein_8102.rar" or "UPS_Lieferschein_8102.zip". This contains the Trojan Horse "TR/Dldr.Tiny.brm" which tries to download additional malware from the internet. The complete email looks something like the following:

Body:
Dear Madame/Sir,
Unfortunately we could not deliver your parcel, sent on 1st July, due to the fact that the address of the receiver does not exist. Please print out the delivery note in the attachment of this mail and collect your parcel from us.
Avira customers are protected from this danger source: AntiVir detects the harmful program, TR/Dldr.Tiny.brm, using the current detection specimen database. However it must be pointed out that one should not open attachments of unsolicited emails.
