Trojan.CDur: False alarm from Spyware Doctor (Update)
Tue, 03 March 2009
The anti-spyware software ‘Spyware Doctor’ from PCTools is incorrectly indentifying that there is a Trojan in Avira AntiVir
Tettnang, 3 March 2009 – The anti-spyware solution from PCTools is incorrectly indentifying that systems running Avira AntiVir are infected by a Trojan called CDur.
This is a false alarm! The Avira software is not infected with this Trojan. Avira developers are currently in contact with PCTools in order to eliminate this false positive.
Avira recommends that all users of Spyware Doctor deactivate the PCTools software until they can provide an updated version.
Update:
The false alarm was included in the Spyware-Doctor-Version in the Google Pack. An update is now available which deactivates the false positive. We recommend that all users of the Google Pack should update their database and then re-activate their Spyware Doctor.
