Stormy Valentine
Tue, 12 February 2008
Tettnang, 12 February 2008 – Almost as a matter of tradition, Valentine’s Day is again being misused this year to infect systems with malware.
The virus known as the “Storm Worm” will try its luck again on Valentine’s Day. Emails with the subject line "Be My Valentine", "Love Rose" or "Just You" are currently being sent to countless unsuspecting recipients. Those who follow the link it contains are directed to a website offering a download of a new variant of the worm.
Avira AntiVir detects the worm hidden in the file “valentin.exe” as "Worm/Zhelatin.pa". with the current virus detection pattern database.
