Malicious: Windows update contains Trojan

30 May 2006 - The Trojan TR/Drop.Sinowal.U disguises as Windows update from Microsoft, which first started to spread last weekend through spam emails. The actual application "MS56.EXE" hides in the attachment "MS56.EXE" of the email with the subject "Achtung! Wichtige Nachrichten von Microsoft Windows Update!“ (meaning Attention! Important messages of the Microsoft Windows update!). Please see our virus description for further information. Avira users are out of danger as long as they update their virus protection on a regular basis. AntiVir already detected the Trojan with the VDF update dating 13 May 2006.
