Fake BKA emails in circulation
Thu, 01 February 2007
Tettnang, 1 February 2007 – Since yesterday evening, fake BKA emails (Bundeskriminalamt = Federal Criminal Investigation Agency) have been circulating which conceal a new version of the Trojan "TR/Dldr.iBill" in the attachment.
We can only warn you against this Trojan – and protect you. Our Internet police Avira AntiVir already detected the malware in advance as HEUR/Crypted and as "TR/Dldr.iBill.I". The alleged BKA email appears as follows:
Sender: "Bundeskriminalamt BKA" <Abteilung03950@bka.de>
Subject: Preliminary investigation no. 895023
