H+BEDV warns of the Zero Day security gap in a WMF file format
5 January 2006 -Update: AntiVir detects harmful malware in a WMF format. H+BEDV warns of the Zero Day security gap in a WMF file format since 28 December, which starts its harmful code by simply marking in the Windows Explorer. Two variants of this new security gap are known so far. We recommend all users, especially the administrators, to block all files that end with '.WMF' till Microsoft has provided a patch.
