Avira Expands its International Partner Programme
August 12, 2013 – Tettnang, Germany – IT security expert Avira announced today that it has expanded its international Partner Programme to offer resellers more margin flexibility, access to training, and additional lead-generation and pre-sales support.
Among the many additions is the introduction of a “Silver” partner level, more flexible margins as well as lead generation tools and individual assistance from a dedicated contact person. Additionally, Avira is expanding the scope of its Partner Academy to include easy access to free online training and certifications.
Also included in the programme changes is a re-calibration of the partner levels. The “Authorized Partner” will now be called “Bronze Partner” and will no longer be linked to any minimum turnover. Connected to that is the “Silver Partner” which offers improved margins and comprehensive support even to resellers with low license volume: this way partners benefit from presale support, licenses for their own use as well as lead generation tools such as the Avira Experts Market and campaign materials. Additionally, they will receive a partner level certificate and upon presentation of a business and marketing proposal, lead and marketing support as well being named in the partner directory available online.
For all certification levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum, Avira promises intensive partner assistance with a direct personal contact. For questions regarding licensing, ordering procedures, technical or marketing support partners will receive a permanent dedicated contact person from Avira.
Avira offers its partners of all levels a range of services to assist in the sales and support of products. These include free licenses for all Avira solutions, online access to sales and marketing materials via Avira PartnerNet, the allocation of leads, an overview of expiring customer licenses as well as the expanded training programme of the Avira Partner Academy. Resellers of any size can get certified online for free. An assortment of technical training sessions is available which can easily be attended online.
Thorsten Bruchhäuser, VP for Sales and Business Development at Avira, summarizes the changes to the Partner Programme: “We want to cater even more to the needs of our partners and improve support. On the one hand we have not established a minimum turnover for partnership with Avira and offer attractive margins and services even for low turnover volume. On the other hand, partner feedback has shown that value is increasingly being placed on comprehensive information and training opportunities as well as on direct contacts. We meet these requirements with our expanded training programme and contact persons for all our partners.”
