Avira Security Software Now Available at Office Supply Retail Stores

Special Year-End Offer Includes Back-up Software for Android, Blackberry and iOS Smartphones

Tettnang, Germany, December 13, 2011 – IT security expert Avira announced today that its 2012 lineup of antivirus and security software titles are available starting today in office supply retail stores in North America.

To celebrate the retail launch of Avira’s award-winning Avira Internet Security 2012, Avira is bundling its software with mobile phone back-up and restore software from SaveIt Backup. The software securely backs up vital data, media files, pictures and contacts over-the-air (OTA) or Wi-Fi to the cloud and lets users restore all data with one click. SaveIt Backup works for all Android, Blackberry and iOS smartphones, and lets users remotely locate and wipe their phones if necessary.

The Avira-SaveIt retail bundle promotion is valid until the end of the year – to encourage small businesses to make their purchases tax-deductable. Purchases of office supplies and software made before December 31st can usually be deducted from taxable income for the 2011 calendar year.

“Although the majority of our 100+ million customers download our software from the Avira web store, many of our small business customers purchase their corporate supplies at retail stores so we wanted to be there for them,” said Chris Weltzien, Managing Director, North America for Avira Inc.
