The IT security expert Avira opens subsidiary in Austria

The IT security specialist focuses on the sales through resellers

Tettnang, 7 February 2006 – The German security specialist Avira is represented with a sales office in Innsbruck (Austria). The name of the subsidiary is Avira Vertriebs- und Handels GmbH & Co. KG and has already arranged for a smooth transition from a direct to indirect sales. The success story of the only German producer of security solutions has to be carried forward: in Austria. This expansion is a reaction to the increasing demand from the neighbor country where the security specialist intends to distribute its products only through resellers. Stefanie Hensle is in charge of the Austrian market and is at the disposal of the users, resellers and partners from Austria.

The IT security expert has made a name worldwide with its solutions for private and corporate customers. Mostly known is the flagship AntiVir. Following the motto “More than security”, efficient solutions and the customer service will always play a key role for Avira. Avira wants to make sure with the indirect sale that the user is reached systematically and that tailor-made solutions can be developed for all companies no matter their size. The Austrian Avira subsidiary, which is located in Innsbruck, will stay at the disposal of the Austrian resellers providing a broad range of services, which includes a comprehensive product training, consulting and support.
