PC-WELT Online: Avira AntiVir most popular security tool

Tettnang, 16 August 2006 - The online portal of the computer magazine PC-Welt presents the 12 TOP best and most popular, free security tools under the motto “Who uses the Internet especially has to keep an eye on security”. The winner undoubtedly was: Avira AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic.

The ranking list from PC-Welt called TOP 100 downloads, which is also lead by Avira AntiVir, furthermore reflects how much approval the free virus protection solution has for the users.

“This success is a proof of our commitment to provide private users with a free professional virus protection and our aim to make a contribution to more security for everyone”, says Gernot Hacker, COO of Avira.

The readers of the German magazines CHIP, PC-Welt and PC Magazine already voted Avira AntiVir as the best and most popular security solution at the beginning of 2006.
