IT security specialist Avira presents its solutions in Hall 6, Booth 10
Tettnang/Zürich, 05 May 2009 - Anti-virus expert Avira is showcasing its ninth generation of virus protection software, Avira AntiVir, at the Orbit trade fair (12-15 May 2009, Zürich). To help send malware into orbit even faster, the German IT security specialist has equipped its solutions with a QuickRemoval Tool. Meaning any malware detected can be deleted with just one user-friendly click of the mouse. The new configuration assistant lets users adapt the anti-virus program to their specific requirements in an instant. AntiVir Professional includes configuration profiles that are particularly suited to companies with employees working externally or in a home-office environment. The required security settings are defined automatically depending on the location of the user.
Avira’s solutions can offer significant added value by having security maintained by external service providers or system houses. A central management system enables the IT service providers to protect customers from viruses and other malware remotely and without incurring traveling or onsite costs.
Users of mini-notebooks and netbooks can now use the Avira virus protection with an appropriate screen resolution: Avira automatically adaptes the screen settings for its anti-virus solutions for these devices. The virus protection provided for these small notebooks is also optimised because it is uses a very low about of system resources.
Private users can enjoy many additional security features: to shield children and teenagers from corrupt content on the Internet Avira has incorporated parental controls into the Avira Premium Security Suite. This allows parents to block Internet pages with potentially disturbing content without spoiling their children’s surfing fun.
Along with the presentation of its new solutions the Tettnang-based software publishers also want to use Orbit to promote the relationships they have with existing users and partners.
