Tettnang, 03 July 2007 - The readers of PC-WELT have decided: Avira was voted brand of the year in "Brand Awareness 2007"!
The international Brand Awareness study is here! This is an annual survey in which the IDG PC WORLD product line establishes the most popular brands of the IT and electronic entertainment industry. Over 15,000 readers in Germany alone took part in the survey. In first place, the readers' favorite in terms of "anti-virus software": Avira! But that's not all. Avira Antivir was also at the top of the winners' rostrum in the "cost/benefit" category.
In Brand Awareness 2007 a total of 544 brands from 319 producers in 24 product segments were tested - from PCs and notebooks and navigation systems to DVD recorders, digital cameras and MP3 players. Due to the high number of participants, the survey provides reliable information on the popularity of a brand. For this reason, the survey often gives companies cause for a course correction. Or, as in the case of Avira, for celebration.
