Avira increases its engagement in Switzerland

Avira is present at Orbit-iEX with Novell, booth A10, hall 3
Tettnang, 23 April 2007 – The German security expert Avira has named Guido Wilfer (40) Regional Sales Manager for Switzerland. Guido Wilfer has studied Business Sciences and his new job is to promote the market penetration in Switzerland and to establish the antivirus software AntiVir in small and medium-sized companies as well as banks and insurance companies. Avira will take the next chance and join the Swiss market at the Orbit-iEX with a comprehensive product portfolio for protection against digital threats. The security experts of Avira will join the trade fair from 22 to 25 May together with Novell at booth A10 in hall 3.
As the company is located in Tettnang near Lake Constance, the security experts can benefit of the geographically convenient location next to Germany, Austria and Switzerland: the development and support teams can directly reach the Swiss users in Switzerland when required. ‘A further advantage is that we are the only German speaking producer of antivirus software’, explains the new Regional Manager for Switzerland Guido Wilfer’. Because of this, we can guarantee first class support’. Avira obtains support on the Swiss market through the cooperation with the hardware provider Transtec Switzerland. At Orbit we will present our business customers special bundle offers for Linux systems’, says Wilfer.
Since Guido Wilfer has joined Avira, the security company now has an experienced salesman who knows the product line in order to make business in Switzerland: Wilfer has started his career after completing his studies as a salesman at Xerox. Other stations were management positions at Iveco Magirus and Nilfisk Alto. ‘Besides enjoying the sales business I really like doing presentations and trainings’, says Wilfer. I want to use my expertise in order to bring the security issue to the fore in Switzerland, especially in the small businesses.
