The quality assurance of our product range constitutes an essential part of our development process and contributes to the success of our software

In order to expand our team, we are searching for a


Job description:

• Development and maintenance of applications for quality assurance of the Avira product range in all IT security areas (anti-virus, firewall, anti-spam, …)
• Development and optimization of test cases and scenarios for quality assurance of the Avira product range
• Automation of test cases and scenarios
• Planning, conception, realization, evaluation and documentation of the developed test cases and scenarios
• Direct collaboration with the development team
• Set-up, operation and maintenance of test platforms and hardware
• Extension of the test infrastructure
• Conception of test plans and test management
• Error management and risk management
• Evaluation and use of adequate test tools
• Documentation of the above mentioned points

Your profile:

Required qualifications:

• University degree in computer science or equivalent in a relevant discipline
• At least one year of experience in software development or quality assurance, preferably in IT security
• Skills and expertise in test methodology and processes
• Very good know how of the Windows environment
• Programming expertise under Windows (e. g. Windows Scripting, Perl or C++)
• Fast understanding of complicated issues
• Fluent in German and English
• Very high sense of responsibility and service oriented
• Team player
• Good communication skills
• Very flexible and readiness for action
• Can work independently with good organizing abilities
• Flexible

Preferable additional skills:

• ASQF Certified Tester or similar
• Basic skills in UNIX
• Expertise in UNIX and Novell environments
• Expertise in the Windows security area (firewall, anti-virus, anti-spam, anti-rootkit, HIPS, network security, …)
• Skills in network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, SMTP, FTP, POP3, …)
• Microsoft certifications (e. g. MCSE)
• Can speak Romanian or other foreign languages
