We are looking to immediately fill the position of
System Administrator (m/f) Linux
Your duties include maintenance and expansion of our existing Linux infrastructure in a hetrogeneous server landscape. You will independently implement IT projects in the Linux environment, in which respect, you will perform tasks relating to implementation, conception and coordination.
Our challenges:
- You will administer and expand our existing Linux server landscape.
- You will manage the Linux server applications used (Samba, BIND, DHCP, Postfix, Dovecot, Apache).
- You will support our team in supervising the various systems and their applications using current analytic tools (Nagios, Cacti, tcpdump).
- You will be responsible for operation and maintenance of the various virtualisation environments (KVM, VMware, Xen).
- You will provide support in expansion and configuration of HA environments.
- 350 national/international employees will profit from your know-how with internal user support in 3rd level support.
Your qualifications:
- Training in computer science or a similar field
- Experience in administration of servers and network services
- Solid knowledge of hetrogeneous network infrastructures
- Sound command of written and spoken German and English
- Ability to work in a team
- Structured and precise work processes
- Independent action and communication skills
- Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
Desirable additional skills:
- Experience in the Linux environment
- Basic knowledge in the ares of virtualisation and SAN environments
- Experience with Gentoo Linux
