Talented Web Designer

Avira is conducting a search for a talented IN-HOUSE graphic designer with strong web design skills. We are searching for designers able to create stand-out online advertising and eye-catching marketing emails, designing landing pages and adding promotional content to our website. You will join the growing Design Team located in Doetinchem. The new Designer will get the opportunity to show and test his designs and solutions to a very broad audience. The challenge is to bring the current website to a new level and keep up with the rapidly and continuously chancing internet.

You will have:

• A flair for playful design;
• A feel for typography;
• High quality sketching skills combined with commercial awareness
• The talent offering creative solutions to our key objective of acquiring and retaining customers in a highly competitive sector.

We expect good communication skills and the ability both to collaborate with and take direction from the marketing team as we develop and evolve our fast-growing business. You must have ideas and initiative, and ready to take responsibility for achieving and maintaining the highest quality of your work. We expect you to breathe life into the strategic ideas of your colleagues of the marketing department.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Design & maintain brand identities for email campaigns, banners in product notifications & special projects
• Translating creative briefs into interactive concepts, building a cohesive story and image with all other Avira marketing activities
• Making educated design decisions to best suit the production environment
• Collaborating with the marketing teams to develop design guidelines
• A team player with the ability to work autonomously

Desired Skills & Experience

• Creative thinking
• 2+ years of online graphic design experience
• Expertise in Photoshop, Illustrator & Indesign
• Any previous experience with online advertising, digital media
• Ability to handle multiple priorities with tight deadlines
• Resourceful/can think out of the box
• Recognize customer priorities and needs
• Experience in working for a retail brand is a pro
• Fluent in English
• Available full-time
